Israeli occupation date: 29th-30th of May 1948. Nuris inhabitants were completely ethnically cleansed. The village has been completely defaced. Crusader referred to the village by Nurith. It had an elementary school for boys founded by Ottomans in 1888. There was a mosque. There were several springs north of the village, the most important was ‘Ayn Jalut one of the largest springs in Palestine. According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
The site, overgrown with pine and oak trees, is strewn with piles of stones. Part of the surrounding land is fenced in and is used as a grazing area, while another part is cultivated. Cactuses and olive and fig trees grow near the site.”
Next to the village, the Mamluks triumphed over the Mongols in the decisive battle of ‘Ayn Jalut.
In 1931 there were 106 houses and 1948 there were 163.
